Who can become an expert?

Anyone with lived experience that could genuinely help someone else. No formal qualifications, big audience or prestigious title needed. If you've navigated a career change, built a business, moved countries or freelanced, you could be a strong fit.

How much can I realistically earn?

Use the calculator above. Sessions range from £12 to £250 depending on your topic. Most experts start with 1–2 a week - at £80 a session that's around £576/month after our fee. You set your own rate.

What are the platform fees?

You keep 90% of every paid session - ELLUSTRO takes 10%. Pro-bono sessions you choose to offer have zero platform fee. One of the highest payout rates in the market.

How much time do I need to commit?

As much or as little as you want - no minimum commitments. Many experts take 1–2 sessions a week alongside a full-time job, and you can pause or stop anytime.

What if I get a booking I can't take?

Decline any request within 72 hours (or 12 hours before the slot, whichever is sooner). The learner's card is only charged once you accept - so if you decline, they're not charged. No awkward conversations.

Do I need special equipment?

Just a device with a camera and decent internet. Sessions run via Google Meet through the platform - scheduling and reminders are built in.

Can I do this alongside a full-time job?

Absolutely - that's exactly what our founding experts do. Set your own availability, offer evening or weekend slots only if you like.
